UI/UX Design, Dec, 2010

Skillado is a learning management system for children, based on Phonics technology. The EasyPhonics™ Reading Program Helps Your Child Learn to Read Phonics.

I was involved as lead UI/ UX design in this over 9 months project with large team across all the world. In this part one I will showcase the first design of the commercial website with online store designs. In the next entry (part 2) will publish some designs of the online store and custom cloud services such as using Google maps API. The design process started from the paper sketches and really detailed communication on the subject and details. I made the grids of the website as well the prototype of the UX.

After the first designs was done I was responsible to make the front-end of the website - the actual prototype, where the user experience can be felt. The look and feel was split into a three “modes” of browsing the website - as parent, teacher and “other”. The main flags of distinguishing different modes was colors and some of the controls, represented after the user logged in.
